Need for long-term highway bill to make roads and bridges safe, protect jobs




The "Getting Schooled in Infrastructure" bus will travel to Georgia's 14th, 9th, 11th, 6th, 7th and 4th Congressional Districts Thursday, July 17, with a news conference in the 5th Congressional District to focus on the urgent need for Congress to pass a long-term, full-investment Highway Bill to keep America's roads and bridges safe and to protect jobs.

The bus has traveled more than 4,000 miles through more than 40 Congressional districts when it arrives in Georgia on Thursday.. The Get Schooled in Infrastructure campaign focuses
on the need for Congress to fix the crisis of our roads and bridges, rather that delaying action.


WHAT: News conference with the "Getting Schooled in Infrastructure" bus.

WHEN:  Thursday, July 17, 2014, 11 a.m.

WHERE: Mitchell Street, Coverdell Legislative Office Building opposite the Capitol steps
