So much for those 60 degree temperatures! This past week's ice storm did quite a bit of damage to trees on the farm. Our younger pines in the Conservation Reserve Program lot by far suffered the most. A few large tree limbs damaged our fences, luckily just bending them opposed to taking them out. Puddles, ponds, pipes - all iced over!
This weekend, William, Francie and Russell be attending the annual Georgia Organics Conference! It starts with a farm tour Friday, In-depth workshops Friday afternoon and then educational sessions on Saturday. This is a great opportunity for us to network with other Georgia farmers and learn new practices to help our improve the farm and the quality of service for our customers!
Nonetheless, we still plan to have the Farm Stand on Sunday from 2-4pm! Tagyerit Farm will be here selling their awesome pork products!
