Wallace won the district with 56.69 percent of the vote. Wallace was the only Democratic candidate in the race, defeating Republican candidates Tom Lord, Steven Strickland and Marcus Wiedower. “So you've heard the good news,” began Wallace in his victory speech to members of the community who attended his election results party.
