Can you help with costs of signs for Historical Society?

This just came in from Peg Sommer and the folks at the Oconee County Historical Society attempting to purchase some tasteful signs showing what we have here in Oconee County to display to students of historical structures. I applaud their efforts as always and urge you to consider a sizeable or small financial donation.

Hi,

At our meeting last night we voted to raise money to buy a couple signs for Central Schoolhouse and the cabin

The signs will be made of a PVC type material with wooden post. The cost of the signs are as quoted by Athens Sign; The cost of a 24" x 48" double sided routed and painted PVC sign will be $541.00.

The cost of a 24" x 48" single sided routed and painted PVC sign will be $413.00.

The above prices do not include tax or installation   $954.00

$200 was pledged at the meeting.  Please help us with this project.  Funds can be mailed to us at P.O. Box 1514 Watkinsville , Georgia 30677.

In other business, Peggy reported that we have been accepted to have a booth at the fall festival October 17th and that the Athens Area Watson-Brown Foundation Junior Board has turned down our grant request.

Mary Ruth Moore provided a program with more excerpts from her family letters.

Peggy
