Be a part of this annual state-wide river clean-up event to help protect Athens' most valuable water source: the Oconee River and its' tributaries.  In addition to the general clean-up volunteer opportunity, individuals are also needed to help with:
Registration and Parking
Clean-up Crew
Lunch
Kids Activities
Mascots

Volunteers are needed to serve as interpreters.
Interpreters help non-English speaking parents to become active partners in their child's education.

Volunteers are needed to help with tickets, security, and kids activities. Proceeds benefit HandsOn NEGA

A dance party and carnival at Max Canada for the Classic City Roller Girls!
Junior League Marketplace - Oct 23-25
An event with vendors from all over Georgia at the Classic Center. Proceeds will go to Hands On's Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service.
REM Listening Party - Oct 26
Live at the Olympia in Dublin pre-release listening party at Hotel Indigo. Tickets are $12 advance and $15 at the door. Proceeds will go to Community Connection.

We want to thank you for all the great work you do in the community through your volunteering!  We are excited to be partnering with Jittery Joe's Roasting Co. for the "Thanks a Latte" volunteer recognition program.  Starting June 1st,  every time you complete 5 projects with HandsOn Northeast Georgia you will receive a coupon for a free 12oz. handmade drink go at any of the Athens and Watkinsville stores as well as McIntosh Coffee in Elberton.

2009 Classic City Rollergirl Charity

We are excited to be choosen as the 2009 Charity for the Rollergirls. The CCRG have been active volunteers with HandsOn Northeast Georgia and have participated in such events as the MLK Jr. Day of Service where the team helped out at the Homeless Day Service Center!

Come cheer on the Rollergirls and HandsOn at one of the upcoming bouts: (all bouts are at Skate-Around USA on Cherokee Road in Athens, GA.  Doors open at 6, bouts start at 7)
September 12th - Dixie Derby Girls (Huntsville, AL)
November 7th - Cape Fear Roller Girls (Wilmington, NC)
