A Message from Athens Academy 6th grade Parent Reps, Laura Iyer and Laura Pennington:

Hello to all,

First. there's an update on Kajal from Tina on the Facebook page. She and her family continue to be an inspiration to us all as they

bravely step through the challenges one day at a time and patiently work towards a healthy outcome. She is still over in Children's Hospital

in Atlanta for now but....

 This is Kajal's birthday week....she will be 13.....so we are throwing a party in her honor and in the honor of her Heroes.

All of you who helped to make the bone marrow drive a success by adding 4,004 to the registry and that continue to support the Be A Hero For Kajal efforts.

Our community is so amazing. Not a day goes by when I don't hear a story that tells of the kind and open hearts of the people of Athens and the surrounding area. Just today I learned of three more children, two in first grade and a 6th grader that have given up their birthday gifts and asked instead for gifts to be made to help Kajal  at their birthday parties.

How amazing is that!  The businesses have stepped up and added their support by holding percentage days and lending their help to our  Be A Hero For Kajal discount card.

So many of you have made a huge impact by being a Hero For Kajal ...... We want to celebrate you.

ALL KAJAL'S HEROES AND SUPPORTERS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND 

A RAFFLE AND SILENT AUCTION AT EVENTS AT THE ARBOR 

LOCATED AT 1155 MITCHELL BRIDGE ROAD, ATHENS, GA. 

REFRESHMENTS CATERED BY LA DOLCHE VITA.

We want to recognize your efforts. At the same time we want to lend support by doing a little fundraising, we want to help Kajal and her family so we are holding a raffle that will benefit them. We are also working towards paying our commitment to Be The Match, we agreed we would try to help pay $5.00 per person swabbed (4004 swabs!) to help offset some of the cost of adding them to the registry. 

 Here's how you can help:

• Please continue to say a prayer for Kajal as she builds strength to receive a transplant.
• Visit the facebook.com/beaheroforkajal for more details then like or spread the word about the fundraisers to help raise awareness.
• Please consider purchasing a raffle ticket, discount card or gift donation card by visiting venuestudio.com/beaheroforkajal.
• If you have time and would like to have ten or twenty discount cards or tickets to sell to friends and family let me know and I will get them to you.
• If you can please come celebrate with Kajal's Heros on May 22nd at Events At The Arbors....it won't be the same without you.....and we have some fun surprises that you won't want to miss!
