Greetings-
Please join us tomorrow at the Oconee Farmers Market for some very HOT items-boiled peanuts, beef jerky, lemonade, local wildflower honey, 100% grass-fed beef, and a wide variety of produce including tomatoes, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, green beans, corn, eggplant, potatoes, peppers, blueberries, shiitake mushrooms and more. Our vendors will also be bringing such breakfast items as apple-pecan muffins, blueberry muffins, choc. chocolate chip zucchini muffins, vege. quiche, bagels and cinnamon rolls. There will be many sweets as well- plain and iced pondcakes in many flavors, whole and fried pies including blueberry, apple, peach, cherry and chocolate chess, zucchini bread, choc. chip and peanut butter cookies, peach cupcakes, choc. buttermilk and banana cupcakes- both with honey/cinnamon frosting and fresh brewed teas. For your furry friends there will be vegetarian dog and cat treats and both beef and peanut butter dog biscuits. Also items like recycled jewelry and decorated gourds, cut flowers, birdhouses, squirrel feeders, handmade pottery, shea butter, handcrafted lip balms, beeswax candles, handmade essential oil soaps, body butter and so much more.
This week we will be featuring the sounds of Art Grider on saxophone and as always COFFEE and ICE COLD WATER ARE FREE.

Jeff Dantzler's arrests may be the best thing that ever happened to him

THis has next to nothing to do with Oconee County with the possible exception of the location of his former office, but a former colleague of mine on the radio got popped today for four counts. Any one who has listened to 960 the Ref AM sports talk radio or heard the UGA Lady Dawgs or men's baseball team has surely heard the encyclopedic knowledge of one Jeff Dantzler. Jeff and I are pretty much diametrically opposed poltically, but today he was arrested on four counts including DUI. I hope he gets the help he needs following his incarceration. I work for a lawyer who could help him out if he does not having someone already representing him. This man is a great broadcaster and I hope this arrest serves as a wake-up call for him and his rock and roll lifestyle. James Whipple of Bogart bonded out on child porn, pot, and possession of a firearm during commission of crime charges

The booking photo is not to be placed on any web page that charges a fee for booking photo removal. Sheriff Scott Berry announces the arrest of Ian James Whipple (23) of Jefferson Avenue in Bogart on one count of Computer Pornography (child pornography), one count of Violation of Georgia Controlled Substances Act, and one count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. Bond was set by the court at $50,000. Whipple has bonded out of jail. The arrest st ems from an investigation that began when the OCSO received information from the Athens Clarke County Police leading to the obtaining of a search warrant for Whipple's residence and computers. That warrant was executed on July 1st. Upon entering the residence, it was discovered that Whipple also was cultivating marijuana plants. Whipple was not at the residence at the time the warrant was executed. He was arrested on July 3rd when he was located by OCSO deputies.
