Sad News about the death of Larry Sheats
Larry and I used to play basketball at Herman C. Michael back in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He undoubtedly was much better than me at basketball but he always tolerate my slow white ass trying to keep up with him on the court and off the court. He was always ready to talk about anything, anytime and has a great family - my best to them in this trying time. He came home too early and is dunking with Jesus now. I will never forget having to literally tackle him one time after he blew past me like three times in a row on a fast breaks, and he completely took it in stride (and could have become extremely angry and kicked my ass if he wanted to, and just smiled and laughed).
He was always good for a hug at Bethel Baptist too.
