Another day. Another Chip Rogers embarrassment.

This is not the kind of leadership Georgia needs in the 21st century.

Sincerely,
Dan Matthews

It's official.

Majority Leader Chip Rogers has made Georgia the laughing-stock of the nation.

His recent taxpayer-funded meeting to talk about the evil mind-control techniques of the Georgia Chamber, the Atlanta Regional Commission and Pres. Obama has become the talk of 11Alive, Salon, Mother Jones, Daily Kos and even earned a headline on the Drudge Report.

But Majority Leader Rogers is not alone with his brand of crazy.

Here's a list of state senators who attended the Oct. 11 meeting hosted by Majority Leader Rogers and led by Field Searcy, a man who was kicked out of the Tea Party for being too extreme:
  • Sen. John Albers
  • Sen. Buddy Carter
  • Sen. Butch Miller
  • Sen. Jack Murphy
  • Sen. Bill Heath
  • Sen. Barry Loudermilk
  • Sen. Chip Rogers
These state senators, along with every Republican state senator, will decide a new Majority Leader today.

It's time for the GOP to decide that enough is enough and send Chip Rogers packing.

Sincerely,
Bryan Long

P.S. If you're just hearing the news for the first time, here's a short video to help you catch up. Georgia's GOP state senators will elect their leadership today and have a chance to accept or disown Majority Leader Rogers' nonsense. Find your state senator and tell them to dump Rogers.
