Subject: [oconee] Sunday series featuring stories from childhood

Hello!

I wanted to be sure you all knew about a series starting this Sunday
that should be fun and inspiring.

On Sunday, July 14th, Flagpole editor Pete McCommons will interview
former Athens mayor Doc Eldridge at 3 PM for the kick-off event for the
7-week series called "Stories From Childhood: From a Tiny Acorn."

Doc will discuss his childhood with Pete at the historic Meeting Hall at
Piedmont College on Prince Avenue in Athens. The suggested donation of
$10 benefits the local non-profit Children First, which looks out for
kids in foster care. Refreshments after the event each week include a
favorite snack from the featured guest's childhood.

Please keep reading to see the pairing for each week of the series, all
held at Piedmont College.

(The third guest, businessman and civic leader Claude Williams -- a
delightful man! -- lives in Oconee County.)

Please join us some Sunday!
