Photos of our next Governor Jason Carter and Lt. Gov. Connie Stokes
Presumptive Democratic Gubernatorial nominee State Senator Jason Carter and Lieutenant Goveror candidate Connie Stokes addressed a sold out crowd of more than 350 Democratic party supporters from Gwinnett, White, Oglethorpe, Clarke, Greene, and Oconee counties (and elsewhere) last night at the Classic Center in Athens, Georgia.
David Jarrett gave the invocation, and Chairman Joe Wisenbaker was the emcee. Former party treasurer Russell Edwards announced he was running for Father of the Year before introducing his very pregnant wife Airee Hong (who is due in March). I had the distinct pleasure of sitting next to presumptive Democratic 10th District Congressional nominee Ken Dious and his lovely wife Annette and staff Raven Bennett from Oconee County. Oconee County residents Pat and Neil Priest bought a table as well for this wonderful function. I enjoyed seeing solar power magnate Drew Bowen and my old University Health Center cohort Dr. Karen Prasse in attendance as well. She is the mother-in-law of State Representative Spencer Frye, and I may have met the next Mayor of Watkinsville and his wife as well. Thanks to Massage Aid founder Elizabeth Alder for the $75.00 ticket. Karen Solheim did a great job in handing out door prize winners.
