Oconee County Sherriff's Office announce arrest in Enticing a Minor for Indecent Purposes
Sheriff Scott Berry announces that Harley Miller has been located.
Sheriff Berry also announces the arrest of Robert Louis Coggins (36) of Kissimmee, FL, on the following charges: Interstate Interference with Custody and Enticing a Minor for Indecent Purposes. Additional charges may be forthcoming locally as well as in Florida.
Coggins is currently in the custody of the Orange County Florida Sheriff’s Office where he was arrested on our charges. The Western Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office has already filed an extradition letter.
We are exceedingly thankful for the work put in on this case so far and going forward by the Orange County Florida Sheriff’s Office and other local law enforcement and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. While our entire investigations division has been working on this case, we would like to single out the efforts of Investigator David Stauffacher who has neither been home nor been to sleep since receiving this case.
Sheriff Berry went on his personal Facebook page to add:
"Interesting day for a Sheriff today. I watched a great group of lawmen track a fugitive and a missing person across state lines using a combination of old time dogged police work and modern technology and court orders. Not to mention that we were working with both local and federal agencies who quite frankly didn't have the "ownership" in the case that we had. Those men and women dropped everything to set up a surveillance, run all over Orlando covering leads, and using some online trickery to get the job done today. Lee Weems mentioned on his page the hard work of the FBI and the Orange County Florida Sheriff's Office, and I have some advice for you. If you are on the run, or like to entice little girls, Orange County isn't the place to hide, cause they will drop everything to find you. I suspect all in all over 30 lawmen were involved in working our case today, and it was a thing of beauty of watch."
