Eagle Tavern Museum

The Eagle Tavern Museum, built circa 1801, operated as a stagecoach stop
and was the political and social center of Watkinsville, Georgia. With
artifacts and stories throughout the tour, step back in time to explore
the life of travelers in the 1800s. Tours are available Monday through
Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and start at the Welcome Center across
the street. Near enough to Ashford Manor to have caused a ruckus after many dances.
