Announcing the Upcoming Departure of the
Oconee Cultural Arts Foundations' Executive Director
Cindy Farley, Executive Director of the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation has announced that she will be leaving her position by the end of October. Ms Farley has served as the Executive Director since January of 2014.
During Ms Farley's tenure as Executive Director, OCAF has grown in membership from 412 members at the end of 2013 to 624 members at the end of May of this year.
Under the leadership of Ms Farley, OCAF has experienced growth in participation from art enthusiasts from all across the Southeast. With her guidance, offerings for art education for all ages has increased. During her tenure, OCAF has undertaken a capital campaign that has enabled it to address critical needs for its facilities and to make improvements to our classrooms, pottery studio, and Rocket Hall.
Ms Farley stated "The support and friendship shown to me over these past years by everyone at OCAF has been profoundly touching. I appreciate having had the opportunity to work as part of the OCAF team in developing meaningful projects to benefit area artists and our community for this and future generations."
B. Amrey Harden, Chairman of the Board, on behalf of the Board and Members expressed his appreciation for all that Ms Farley has done to make OCAF a better arts organization and stated that she will certainly be missed.
