Today I went to the funeral of Joe Davis inWatkinsville. Not many of you outside of the folks at the Bethel Baptist Church, the old Texaco on Main Street, or the University Health Center might have heard of Joe "Meatball" Davis
* Davis, Joe H., 52, of White Plains; 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, interment in Little Creek Baptist Church Cemetery; Watts Funeral Home, Union Point, has charge of arrangements.
I was a much better man for having worked with him at the University Health Center from 1999-2001. He is an incredible individual who taught me a lot. I will miss him. He always helped anyone in need. His service was a powerful uplifting event, eulogized vibrantly by Rev. Joseph Nunnally.
