David Donnely asks for your money to stop Ralph Reed

Recent polls show that Georgia Lieutenant Governor candidates Ralph Reed and State Senator Casey Cagle are running neck and neck, with seven short weeks to go until their primary election.

Shockingly, more than 50% of Republican voters haven't decided who to vote for yet.

Help us educate voters about the real Ralph Reed with a contribution today.

We have very little time. In today's Atlanta Journal-Constitution, pollster Matt Towrey summed up what what's going to happen:

"This is a race that's up for grabs for whoever wants to spend the most money on television and claim it."

With Reed leading the money chase, everyone expects a typical Reed smear campaign any day, like the charges he made against decorated vet Senator Max Cleland being soft on terrorism and the love-child he claimed Senator John McCain had.

We need your support right now to introduce Reed as a typical, hypocritical politician who doesn't practice what he preaches.

Both candidates know ethics and corruption matters in this race. In recent debates Reed and Cagle have traded ethics allegations and questioned voting records--Reed taking on Cagle for a contribution to then-Lieutenant Governor Mark Taylor in 1999 and Cagle questioning Reed on his ties to lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

But as the pollster Towrey suggested, the race will be defined by who gets their information out to the most people. It matters where voters get their information. As a nonpartisan watchdog organization, Campaign Money Watch (a project of Public Campaign Action Fund) plays a significant role in cutting through the bull by delivering just the facts.

Otherwise, we leave Ralph Reed to use his millions to twist the truth. Ask yourself: Do we trust Ralph Reed to come clean?

Make a contribution now to keep our hard-hitting radio ad about Ralph Reed on the air, and ensure the truth about Reed is heard over the big-money shouting that would silence it.

Thanks so much for all you have done - and will do,

David Donnelly
