Please attend this Saturday if you can

We would like to remind you one final time about our congressional district delegate elections, this Saturday, April 19. Your vote at the district caucus will help determine who represents Georgia Democrats at this year's Democratic National Convention.

Any Georgia Democrat who is registered to vote may vote in their district caucus. All you need to bring is a form of identification. We will accept over 15 forms of identification. For a complete list of acceptable forms of ID, please see the April 19 caucus rules on our resources page. (If you need to know which congressional district you vote in, please click here.)

Please note: the polling location where you normally vote is not necessarily the location of Saturday's caucus in your congressional district. Please see below for a list of Saturday's caucus locations!

Here's a quick overview of what will happen at your congressional district caucus.

* The doors will open at your caucus location an before the caucus begins for check-in and registration. You'll check-in with a volunteer, who will check your ID and verify that you live in the district. You'll also receive a card that allows you to receive a ballot and vote in the caucus.

* At the appointed time (see below), your caucus will begin. After some brief remarks by your caucus chair, all of the attendees will divide up to vote on either delegates pledged to Senator Hillary Clinton, or delegates pledged to Senator Barack Obama. You can only vote on one candidate's slate of delegates.

* Once you've moved into your candidate caucuses, the caucus chair will introduce the candidates for delegate, and each candidate will speak for about three minutes.

* After the candidates have spoken, you'll vote, and a volunteer will take your ballot to be counted.

* While the ballots are being counted, you'll have time to meet and mingle with other Georgia Democrats in your area!

* After the ballots are counted, the winners will be announced.

It's as easy as that! You can look below to see where your congressional district caucus will happen, or check out the list on our website. If you'd like to see who is running in your district, please click here to see a list of candidates for Hillary Clinton, and click here for a list of candidates for Barack Obama.

If you have any questions about your caucus, please contact the Democratic Party of Georgia at 678-278-2008. Thanks so much, and we hope to see you this Saturday!
