Ashford Manor July 4th -- Rack of Spam!

 See you there Friday?

July 4th (Friday): Rack of Spam [Rhythm & Blues]
Rack of Lamb is no imitation lunch meat-- they're the real soul, and they've got all the standards and 70's grooves to prove it. When Rack of Spam takes the stage with their punchy saxophones, white-hot vocals, sparkling trumpet stings, and fist-pumping drums, you'll be awash in your favorite soul tunes before you know it. Borrowing the gospel flare of Aretha and the unmatched heat of Little Richard, Rack of Spam then adds their own funky flavor to create a brand new, yet still classic, soul experience. Since 1981, these skilled musicians have shared their style of jazzy, exhuberant, energetic soul with their faithful fans. Come and hear these awesome bandmates-- a full dozen of them-- fill the Ashford Manor lawn with the inescapable sounds of soul.
Imagine a beautiful outdoor park or public garden with flowers and fountains, on a beautiful starlit summer night. Then think about spreading out under the stars with your family or friends with a picnic supper. And then imagine some great live music. It's that simple. With these elements you can also decide how you want to tailor your experience—maybe the kids want to run down by the stage and dance to the music—maybe you want to sit close to the band and take it all in. Or you find a place where you can hear the music but are still able to chat with your friends. There are also great little secret, private places on the grounds where you can have your own intimate evening experience.

Once you try it, once you come out and see how easy it is to have a beautiful, fun experience that's close to home and a reasonable price, you just keep coming back - it's quite habit-forming. Folks tell us that this is often the only chance to really see and enjoy their neighbors and friends, without having to entertain at their own homes.

It is really just the easiest thing to do to come out on a beautiful night—order your food, bring your beverage of choice, lay your blanket out under the stars and listen to the music. You don't have to dress up. Heck, we don't care if you shower before you come!

This place and the event are very casual and relaxed. But some folks do it all up—complete with candelabras, fine crystal and silverware - this is a place to create whatever kind of experience you like. The only requirement we have is that you relax and have fun—
no stress vibes, no bad office karma here.
