Davis, Bell vie for leadership of Oconee commission

Oconee County residents, if they elected Sarah Bell chairwoman, would get lower taxes and an ethical leader who wouldn't hesitate to slash government spending, according to the first-time candidate.

The leadership that recently loosened watering restrictions are the same leaders who let Bear Creek almost go dry in the summer of 2007! Do we really think they have gained more wisdom in the last 12 months?! Providential rain and citizen conservation has kept us in water so far this summer. However, the summer is not over.
