Well-stated, Erika! This Saturday we are partnering with Black citizens of Greene Co. to get-out-the-vote for Martin and Powell. Also in the run-off for Greene Co. is a key school board position.  So far, we have 10 Oconee Co. volunteers signed-up for Saturday!!! And we need at least 10 more. Join us. We will work out of a staging location set-up in Greenesboro with wireless internet and a phone line. We will be doing phone banking and door-to-door canvassing with lists of registered democrats. Each volunteer can choose to do phone banking and/or canvassing. Canvassers will carry applications for absentee ballots. Whenever it's possible, we'll send canvassers out in biracial teams.        There is a need for volunteers to get out the vote for the run-off election. 
We are heading back to Greene County to make calls and canvass.  You may be surprised
of how happy the folks in Greene County were seeing so many whites faces interested
in their community and fighting for Obama.  Now we need the African American community to get
involved once again and go out and vote for Martin.  You may want to car pool there.

this Friday at the Clarke County Democratic Headquarters.
Canvassing:
Saturday November 15 from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm; Sunday November 16 @ 2:00 pm

THis has next to nothing to do with Oconee County with the possible exception of the location of his former office, but a former colleague of mine on the radio got popped today for four counts. James Whipple of Bogart bonded out on child porn, pot, and possession of a firearm during commission of crime charges

The booking photo is not to be placed on any web page that charges a fee for booking photo removal. Sheriff Scott Berry announces the arrest of Ian James Whipple (23) of Jefferson Avenue in Bogart on one count of Computer Pornography (child pornography), one count of Violation of Georgia Controlled Substances Act, and one count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. Bond was set by the court at $50,000. Whipple has bonded out of jail. The arrest st ems from an investigation that began when the OCSO received information from the Athens Clarke County Police leading to the obtaining of a search warrant for Whipple's residence and computers. That warrant was executed on July 1st. Upon entering the residence, it was discovered that Whipple also was cultivating marijuana plants. Whipple was not at the residence at the time the warrant was executed. He was arrested on July 3rd when he was located by OCSO deputies.
