Saxby Shameless Special Message
- RUNOFF DECEMBER 2 -
To all Georgia Democrats:jim nelson official

On Dec. 2, we have the opportunity to ensure a change in the direction of the nation.  With the election of Jim Martin to the U.S. Senate in place of Saxby Chambliss, the Democrats in the Senate will be one step closer to that cherished 60% majority.

Over the last six years Saxby has constantly voted against Veterans, children, hard working Americans, and against the interests of the people of Georgia.  We need Jim Martin in Washington, someone who will represent the people and will vote for our needs.

This election will be determined solely on the basis of which party is best able to turn out their base.  There are more Democrats in Georgia than Republicans, we just need to get to the polls and vote.  Don't let Jim down, but more importantly, don't let Georgia down and don't let yourself down.  We need people like Jim Martin in Washington.

I got to know Jim Martin personally in 2006 when I ran for Congress in the 1st District.  I was a member of the Band of Brothers, a group of veterans running for Congress who opposed the occupation of Iraq.   As the Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor, Jim Martin was the first non-federal candidate to join our ranks and we were proud to have him.   Jim is a man of honesty and integrity, who has served this nation with honor and distinction and Georgia needs and deserves such a person to represent us.

We elected Barak Obama as the 44th President of the United States, now we need to ensure he has a Senate he can count on to help implement the changes he will bring.  VOTE! And make sure everyone you know Votes as well.

WE CAN DO THIS.  YES WE CAN.

Rev. Dr. Jim Nelson
