Over the next few hours, there are people that you know, that will only go vote on Tuesday December 2nd, if you ask them. Young Democrats have a few simple ways to help you do this, and they are listed below. Please help us turnout the Youth Vote to support our Democrats running at all ballot levels in tomorrow's Runoff Election.

Ask Your Friends To Pledge to Vote Democratic in Tomorrow's Election

Phone Bank with YDG from Home or at our Office Today and Tomorrow

  • Go to http://jfk.myactivate.com anytime from 1pm to 9pm today, and 11am to 2pm tomorrow to phone from home.
  • Login is "ydg", password is "youthvote"
  • You'll be prompted to enter your phone number, then the system will call you and explain how everything works.
  • Once you're ready, change your User State to "Available" and the calling will begin. Your script and the name of your caller appear once you are connected.

Jeff Dantzler's arrests may be the best thing that ever happened to him

THis has next to nothing to do with Oconee County with the possible exception of the location of his former office, but a former colleague of mine on the radio got popped today for four counts. Any one who has listened to 960 the Ref AM sports talk radio or heard the UGA Lady Dawgs or men's baseball team has surely heard the encyclopedic knowledge of one Jeff Dantzler. Jeff and I are pretty much diametrically opposed poltically, but today he was arrested on four counts including DUI. I hope he gets the help he needs following his incarceration. James Whipple of Bogart bonded out on child porn, pot, and possession of a firearm during commission of crime charges

The booking photo is not to be placed on any web page that charges a fee for booking photo removal. Sheriff Scott Berry announces the arrest of Ian James Whipple (23) of Jefferson Avenue in Bogart on one count of Computer Pornography (child pornography), one count of Violation of Georgia Controlled Substances Act, and one count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. Bond was set by the court at $50,000. Whipple has bonded out of jail. The arrest st ems from an investigation that began when the OCSO received information from the Athens Clarke County Police leading to the obtaining of a search warrant for Whipple's residence and computers. That warrant was executed on July 1st. Upon entering the residence, it was discovered that Whipple also was cultivating marijuana plants. Whipple was not at the residence at the time the warrant was executed. He was arrested on July 3rd when he was located by OCSO deputies.
