Georgia Republicans: The Party of Limbaugh and Erickson

Every year, the Georgia General Assembly considers hundreds of resolutions honoring everything from wounded soldiers to peanut festival queens.  Most times, these resolutions pass unanimously.  But last week, Georgia Republicans in the House touched off a political firestorm when they voted down a resolution honoring President Barack Obama for his achievements, and making him an honorary member of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus. 

Democratic Party of Georgia Chair Jane Kidd called it a "cheap political shot" and "politics at its worst," which caused a mass "Rush" to their cliched talking points from the extreme Republican right.

Peach Pundit Generalissimo Erick Erickson responded with a post titled "Jane Kidd hates Democracy," and reiterating his common hope with Rush Limbaugh that Obama fails, prompting a sharp response from DPG Communications Director, Martin Matheny, called "Two of a Kind," comparing Erickson to his hero, Rush Limbaugh, and accusing the extreme right of "blatant hypocrisy."
