Don't Miss the World Premiere screening of

The People v Leo Frank

A Stunning new PBS Documentary

Thursday, April 30  7:30 P.M.

Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre

On April 30, 2009, the Anti-Defamation League will present the world premiere screening of The People v. Leo Frank, a new PBS documentary that tells the story of one of the most infamous episode in American history: the 1915 trial and subsequent lynching of Atlanta Jewish businessman Leo Frank. The screening will bring together a diverse cross-section of Georgians who will gather to reflect on the prejudice that haunts our past, but more importantly to celebrate the progress we've made toward becoming a community that rejects hatred and bigotry.

The world premiere will be held at the spectacular, new Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, located just two miles from the site in Marietta where Frank was hanged. Chairs for the premiere are Cobb County Commission Chairman Sam Olens, Former Georgia governor Roy Barnes and Emory University Associate Law Professor Julie Seaman. The director and stars of the film will attend the screening and lead an audience discussion after the showing.

This is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to come together with friends, neighbors, business and community leaders and elected officials to watch an important film about our own history as Atlantans.

The People v. Leo Frank will air on PBS television stations across the country this fall.

Dear Leo Frank Community Partners,

Thank you so much for joining us as a Community Partner for the World Premiere of The People v. Leo Frank, a new PBS documentary about the Leo Frank case. The premiere will be held on Thursday, April 30th at 7:30 p.m. at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, just a couple of miles from the site where Frank was hanged in 1915. With the help of event chairs former Governor Roy Barnes, Cobb County Chairman Sam Olens and Emory University Associate Law Professor Julie Seaman, we will reflect on this dark chapter in our history but also celebrate how far we have come since then in rejecting hatred and bigotry.

As a Community Partner Organization, you are entitled to 4 complimentary tickets. You must RSVP in order to receive these tickets. Additionally, we will include your organization's logo on our event webpage at www.adl.org/leofrank, and on the pre-screening slideshow.

If you have not already done so, please send your logo and RSVP for tickets to mpietrantonio@adl.org. Finally, you are welcome to bring materials to the event to place on tables in the lobby. We expect 1000 people in attendance that night, so this would be a great way to get your information into the hands of community leaders, educators, students, law enforcement officials and other members of the community.

In return, we ask that you help us to promote the event to your members, board, and supporters. We encourage you to send one or both of the attached email messages to your email lists, and to include this information on your Web sites, in newsletters or in other communication vehicles.

Thank you! We look forward to seeing you at what promises to be a remarkable community event!

Bill
