and the surrounding area who graciously donated items for our servicemen
and to the citizens who donated money for postage expenses.
Mr. Horst Klein: Thanks for the loan of your tractor and wagon, for driving the council down
Watkinsville’s Main Street with a smile! Fun was had by all!
Ms. Heike Mueller: Thanks for the greenery for decorating the wagon, for the straw, support, etc.
Mr. Steve Holzman: Thanks for the beautiful banner for the parade, the decorating, and all your
hard work on the website
Mr. David Lawrence Thanks for helping to decorate with that handy staple gun, for your park work,
and more.
Mr. Steve Arnold: Thanks for making the signs, writing letters, picking up contributions, packing
boxes, etc., for our overseas servicemen. Thanks for getting these ready for shipping, and for your willingness to work so hard on this project.
Mrs. Allison Arnold Thanks for making the lists, writing labels, separating and packaging the items
to mail and for taking pictures of the parade.
Mr. Fred Johnson: Thanks for all of your hard work for the town, for decorating the wagon,
contributing candy and your great candy distribution methods.
Mr. Jimmy Bradberry Thanks for cutting and delivering in person the beautiful holly for the porch of
Town Hall.
Ms. Susie Garrett: Thanks for working with Steve Arnold on organizing the gift items and
packaging on Friday and Sunday afternoons
Ms. Bonnie Vaughan: Thanks to the Post Master of High Shoals Post Office for generously allowing
people to drop off gifts for the servicemen in the lobby and allowing the floor of the Post Office to be strewn with packages for a while on Friday afternoon.
Tax Commissioner’s Staff and Ms. Harriette Browning: Thanks to the Tax Commissioner’s Office for collecting the items to send overseas with our care packages, and thanks to Mrs. Harriette Browning for
delivering the box to our post office….on her lunch hour.
Judge David Anglin: Thanks to Probate Judge David Anglin for professionally administering the
oaths of office to newly-elected council members.
Ms. Michele Lease: Thanks for bringing your children to ride in “our town’s red wagon float” and
for taking pictures along the parade route and supporting our council.
Ms. Amy Lawrence: Thanks for bringing your children to ride in “our town’s red wagon float” and
for taking pictures along the parade route and supporting our council.
