Oconee Farmer's Market and Saturday Strolls around Harris Shoals Park

Actually went by last weekend and purchased a few items on a Saturday after the Stroll around Harris Shoals Park. The wetlands should be good and ready for another informative walk this weekend around the Park with the Oconee County Democratic Committee-sponsored walks, which have raised more than $400.00 for local charities with the informative nature jaunts around this wonderful park. Then go purchase some local food behind Eagle Tavern and support the farmers and the Oconee County economy people - come on, it is your duty!

I am hoping it is dry Saturday morning and not have to deal with the rains ruining bike to work day for me Friday.

Woven dryly and staunchly,

Hope everyone is ready for the weekend. We will have cinnamon rolls, pitas and fresh homemade breads and biscotti as well as granola. There will be homemade cupcakes, cakes, pecan pralines, baklava and assorted pastries.

We will have fresh locally grown herbs, edible flowers, greens, lettuce, radishes, sprouts, green onions, spinach, squash, broccoli, onions and boiled or fried peanuts and pork skins.

Don't forget about our farm fresh eggs and Johnson Dairy Milk. {I purchased some free range brown eggs last week}

We will have ornamental plants, potted flowers and fresh cut flowers.

Head of the Meadow Farms will be taking orders for grass fed beef which will be ready soon.

So come on out and pick up some locally grown, fresh goodness that you can take to a graduation party this weekend!!

We would like to congratulate all of the seniors who have graduated this year, best of luck to you.
