Obama taps Jones for federal court || OnlineAthens.com

Judge Steve Jones does conduct court in Oconee County and is a really nice person with whom I converse at the Post Office several times a month at least, now he will be holding court next to the Post Office in downtown Athens as that is the site of the Federal Court for Athens. Congratulations to Judge Jones.

A deep wound waiting to be healed - restoring order and dignity in the city cemetery

Image
The Watkinsville City Cemetery is an oasis amidst the houses on the east side of the municipality, near the neighborhood once called Sidney. I have been associated with numerous GHSA state championships and our athletes are top shelf. We won a state championship in football at OCHS when I was there because we made are kids bigger faster and stronger. OC is not our enemy nor is it who or what we are preparing our athletes for. My decision is about unity. My decision is about stepping up to play the Stephens Counties and the Hart coun...
