2010-11 academic year includes new North Oconee weight room || OnlineAthens.com

While it is commendable that the Oconee County Board of Education finally found the resources to build a weight room for the North Oconee Titans, it is very sad and highly regrettable that the employees of all of the public schools will be forced to take furlough days to retain their jobs.

A deep wound waiting to be healed - restoring order and dignity in the city cemetery

The Watkinsville City Cemetery is an oasis amidst the houses on the east side of the municipality, near the neighborhood once called Sidney. We won a state championship in football at OCHS when I was there because we made are kids bigger faster and stronger. OC is not our enemy nor is it who or what we are preparing our athletes for. My decision is about unity. My decision is about stepping up to play the Stephens Counties and the Hart coun...
