Once upon a time not all that long ago Calls Creek running through Harris Shoals Park in Watkinsville was one of the more polluted streams in the area. Recently the Watkinsville City Council and city hired engineers have made plans to try and shore up the crumbling stream bank and take other steps to revitalize the area with SPLOST funds. It is highly commendable of the University of Georgia law students to wade into the real world experience of getting their feet and hands wet with practical applications of the Georgia code to our waterways.
