What a sad week in Oconee County and surrounding areas

Oconee County is not known for much crime, so when two violent deaths from guns happen nearly the same time the same day in the same part of the county, it is a shock to all of us, whether in bucolic Oconee County, Georgia or the mountainous South Carolina counterpart or anywhere else.

This is not going to be some attempt at eliminating or controlling your rights to bear arms. It is a call to arms to stop using weaponry in generals as a means to end arguments, solve problems, or make a statement. There is always help and hope despite the fight or flight risk of pulling a trigger or throwing a punch, you can find a better way.
