Subject: Georgia votes to destroy Medicare?

Georgia's Republican congressmen took a reckless step.

They voted to phase out Medicare.

The centerpiece of their destructive plan is to replace Medicare with an insurance voucher that loses its value over time. Since the voucher doesn't keep up with the cost of health care, the vouchers will eventually become pointless.

Every Republican Congressman in Georgia voted YES for this plan.

The non-partisan CBO weighed in, and discovered that health care expenditures for a typical 65-year-old "would be
almost 40 percent higher with private coverage under the GOP plan than they would be with a continuation of traditional Medicare" in the very first year that the GOP plan goes into effect.

In fact, it ends Medicare as a guaranteed program for seniors.

Below, you'll see a brief video of Georgia Congressman Jack Kingston as he tries to defend this horrible scheme on television. Please click the picture below to see what Georgia's Republican representatives truly stand for: the end to Medicare as we know it.

More importantly, share this email with your friends and family. Everyone in Georgia should know the shameless and destructive policies that our GOP congressmen are advocating.
