Storm debris and what to do about it - from the City of Watkinsville

The high winds due to the storm Thursday night fortunately did not create any high degree of serious damage; however a good part of the City is covered in leaf and debris.  Please, when placing such debris next to the curb for pickup, ensure that leaves and limbs are in separate piles.  Doing so will expedite the Street Department’s endeavors in getting the City back to pre-storm condition.

We ask for your patience, as we did three years ago after a heavy snowfall created a tremendous amount of debris for our Street Department to pick up, for there is a very good chance we will be running behind schedule in gathering chipping and hauling away all the limbs and other material left from last night’s storm.
