SUBJECT LINE: Convention Delegates training sessions this week!

The Democratic National Convention will be held September 3-6 in Charlotte , NC , right up the road from District 10. Georgia will send 124 delegates and 9 alternates. Seventy-two delegates will be chosen on the district level. District 10 will elect 3 male and 2 female delegates (0 alternates).

Delegate candidate eligibility requirements:
Age: 17.5 and older
Registered voter in District 10
Democrat
 
Delegate candidate training:
There is training for those who want to give it their very best shot at being elected. Attending a delegate candidate training session is not required, but it is recommended. At the training, you will learn more about the delegate selection process and what to expect at the convention, should you be elected. We will have 3 sessions in Distict 10. Choose one, and please RSVP so we'll know how many refreshments to prepare.

February 25, Saturday, 9-11AM. Stephens County Senior Center , 3 miles southeast of downtown Toccoa. Address: 55 Haley Dr. , Toccoa , GA 30577

February 26, Sunday, 3-5PM. Lincoln County Library in downtown Lincolnton. Address: 181 N. Peachtree St . , Lincolnton , GA 30817
 
Filing deadline:
March 22. Deadline to file 1) statement of delegate candidacy and 2) pledge of presidential candidate support with the DPG. These forms will be provided at training or upon rrequest.
 
District 10 Delegate Election:
April 21, 8:30AM, doors open for check in of candidates and voters. At noon, doors close for business. Morgan County High School auditorium, 1231 College Sr., Madison , GA 30650 .
 
NOTE:
As are all the other Georgia Congressional Districts, District 10 is using the old lines, not the new, for delegate selection.
