Former Oconee County Chair and self professed country lawyer Wendell Dawson almost sounds like a Democrat (well he was for the better part of four decades) on this one about our divided Oconee County representation with Representative McKillip and his primary opponent Regina Quick as well as Chuck Williams (who has no opposition yet but surely deserves some at the very least).

A deep wound waiting to be healed - restoring order and dignity in the city cemetery

The Watkinsville City Cemetery is an oasis amidst the houses on the east side of the municipality, near the neighborhood once called Sidney. There is a large section of the cemetery that remains a mystery, but perhaps we can work together to dignify the eternal resting spot somewhat better than the current neglected and forgotten (not to mention unmarked) graves of 70 people, more than likely of African-American descent. They deserve to be honored as well. An effort has been undertaken to repair the graves with fill dirt to stop the continued erosion amongst the graves. The most recent grave and bench belong to Larry Sheats,  and as any one who played basketball at Herman C. Osborne dug his own hole deeper with this comment swiped from the Athens Banner-Herald's comment section

There is no way of knowing with absolute certainty if this is indeed the comment swiped from the article of the Athens Banner-Herald newspaper yesterday of evidently now former North Oconee principal John Osborne or not, but home slice needs to learn from Bill Hamby and Rick Pitino as when to shut the fuck up: I have never in my life posted a to a blog, vent site or sent an editorial, but obviously there are lots of misperceptions out there.
