Regina "QUICK" Update

I see State Representative Doug McKillip and his wife Mary walking around 5 Points almost every morning when I drive to work. I would well expect that this Republican primary race will contentious, expensive, and more like a sensational murder trial than a campaign. Here are a few opportunities to engage the process.

Can you name five people in Oconee County in this district? I cannot without computer software. I know there is at least one Oconee County Chamber of Commerce debate tentatively beginning on 6:30 pm with the meet and greet portion and then with the Tim Bryant moderated event going from 7:30-9:00 pm Saturday, July 14th at North Oconee High School auditorium.

Sincerely,
Dan Matthews

Hello Everyone -

Some events to note on your calendars:

On FRIDAY, June 1st at 9:00 AM Regina QUICK will be interviewed by Tim Bryant on the local 1340 AM Radio Station.  If you miss it you can stream it anytime later by going to the station website.

Candidate Forum for the Legislative Primaries on June 4th

Candidates from the contested House races in Athens are invited to join us

from 6:30-7:30pm at the Old Prince Ave. Fire Hall.

The forum will be fully moderated, with written questions (submitted in advance and by the audience) fielded through a moderator.

Each candidate will be given the opportunity to make a brief opening and closing statement, with the balance of the time dedicated to moderated questions.  The forum will be controlled, efficient and informative.

The voters appreciate the opportunity to see their candidates side-by-side.  Hopefully ALL candidates will show up.

ALSO:
The link below, in case you missed it, reports on the Justice Department's approval of Mr. McKillip's version of Clarke County Commission Districts.
