Here are some interesting percentages in the race for the House 117th race that effectively divided Oconee County. If you vote at Athens Academy, Malcolm Bridge or Bogart, you can help toss Doug McKillip out of office if you choose the Republican ballot July 31 or this week.

You might have wondered WHO?? Doug McKillip was working for when HE re-configured OUR State House District and OUR commission districts. WELL!!!

FOLLOW THE MONEY

Of the $97,775 McKillip raised since January 2012, 94.3% came from OUTSIDE THE DISTRICT!!

Of the $51,873 that Quick raised since January, 2012, 24.8% came from OUTSIDE THE DISTRICT!!

ANOTHER FACT: 
91.3% of McKillip contributors come from OUTSIDE (mostly ATLANTA) - mostly legislators, lobbyists, PAC's and Special interests.

21.1% of Quick contributors come from OUTSIDE  - NO lobbyists, NO Pac's, No Special Interests

Jeff Dantzler's arrests may be the best thing that ever happened to him

THis has next to nothing to do with Oconee County with the possible exception of the location of his former office, but a former colleague of mine on the radio got popped today for four counts. Any one who has listened to 960 the Ref AM sports talk radio or heard the UGA Lady Dawgs or men's baseball team has surely heard the encyclopedic knowledge of one Jeff Dantzler. James Whipple of Bogart bonded out on child porn, pot, and possession of a firearm during commission of crime charges

The booking photo is not to be placed on any web page that charges a fee for booking photo removal. Sheriff Scott Berry announces the arrest of Ian James Whipple (23) of Jefferson Avenue in Bogart on one count of Computer Pornography (child pornography), one count of Violation of Georgia Controlled Substances Act, and one count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. Bond was set by the court at $50,000. Whipple has bonded out of jail. The arrest st ems from an investigation that began when the OCSO received information from the Athens Clarke County Police leading to the obtaining of a search warrant for Whipple's residence and computers. That warrant was executed on July 1st. Upon entering the residence, it was discovered that Whipple also was cultivating marijuana plants. Whipple was not at the residence at the time the warrant was executed. He was arrested on July 3rd when he was located by OCSO deputies.
