Trey Downs Posts, Then Removes, County Credit Card Numbers in political ploy gone awry
Hey Wendell Dawson and Tony Townley and the rest of the contributors to the campaign of Trey Downs, would you like your credit card numbers posted on line for the rest of us to see and abuse? I don't think so. I hope this opens the eyes and minds of some of the last few undecided voters in Oconee County as to why Mr. Downs needs a little more seasoning and experience before he becomes Sheriff in this Oconee County. This act of negligence would border on criminal if it were not in the realm of political free speech.
This is what we like to call a game changer. Use a little common sense

I received your flyer in the mail today campaigning for sheriff. I must say that this piece of propaganda was a waste of good ink and paper and the money spent on postage could have been better served elsewhere. As a long time Oconee County resident I can say I am quite happy with the current leadership and integrity of Sheriff Scott Berry. Knowing very little about you, I could give your leadership abilities the benefit of the doubt until I learned about your stupid Facebook stunt! The very idea that you would post confidential information such as credit card numbers and other information on the internet for the whole world to read just shows what an idiot you are! Are you so blinded by your political pursuit that you would do something as juvenile and irresponsible as that? You obviously do not even begin to comprehend the gravity of the responsibility to confidentiality, integrity, and demeanor necessary to perform such an important role of leadership as the Sheriff of this great county. Your actions clearly demonstrate that you do not possess these qualities. I find it appalling that you react in such a manner of poor judgement that is consistent with that of an unbridled teenager rather than a mature adult. I truly hope that the citizens of this county will be made aware of your antics by those supporting our current Sheriff. The last thing this county needs or wants is a Barney Fife wanna be Sheriff!
