Want to Canvass for Obama in North Carolina this weekend?

Here is a real opportunity to campaign in a swing state this weekend with minimal costs and maximum efforts (and results):

Hi Everyone!

We have another chance to raise a ruckus in Charlotte!

I just got a call from J.J. Edwards of the Obama Campaign. He is organizing a group of Georgia Dems to travel this weekend to Charlotte. It is an over-nighter, with rooms provided. We pay for our main food and help with gas.

Looks like we will be gathering in Athens at the Clarke Co. Headquarters at 7AM this Saturday, travel the 200 miles in one of our cars, and arrive at Charlotte where we will be given our instructions. We will canvass the rest of the daylight hours in certain areas, and then drive home the next morning - gone about 30 hours.

How exciting! How good it will feel to work for our man in a state that is so very much in play! Not to mention, it is my home state, and my many Republican relatives there will simply die from shame. So much the better.

Holler back at me if you would like to join up with this "Battleground Trip."
