A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 3 of
Title 3 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to the
regulation of alcoholic beverages generally, so as to provide for local
control of distance requirements for grocery stores and other licensees
for the retail sale of wine and malt beverages for consumption off the
premises only such that grocery stores and other licensees shall be
allowed to open in locations near college campuses such as downtown
areas, if so permitted by the local governing authority; to provide for
related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
