Gary Gerrard for Congress commercial goes first in the 10th District

So I basically decided to end my third term as chair of the Oconee County Democratic Committee because of a personal decision to endorse Gerrard in the REPUBLICAN primary here in Oconee, of which you need to vote in if you are to have any say so in local elected input.

As our imprint in the Regina Quick-Doug McKillip 63-vote political race shows, you have to do what you have to do to keep the religious zealots and opportunists out of office. I do not pretend prescribe what is best for you. I know what I needed to do to remain true to myself and look myself in the mirror in the morning. So outside of Presidential primary years, I tend to vote in the local GOP primary to attempt to keep the GOP from veering too far right.

I sincerely hope Democratic candidate Ken Dious of Athens wins in November, but have yet to see anything that would lead me to realistically expect him to raise enough money right now in order to do so.

I do pray that we do not get the Reverend Jody Tice leading us into a theocracy as our 10th Distrist congressman, so I opt for the most open minded candidate on the Republican side of ledger with Gerrard. Right now I do not know of any contested Republican races locally for the Oconee County Board of Commissioners or anything else, so perhaps my urgency to case my insurgent ballot in the GOP primary is somewhat diminished, but I stick to my guns no matter what the cause or cost.
