Hello, fellow Democrats!

We hope you all had a great break and are ready to get back into the swing of things. Here is everything you need to know about upcoming events and our weekly updates.

Our first weekly meeting of the semester will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 15th from 6:15 PM in MLC 267. We will be setting off the year by sharing our plans for the semester and discussing any upcoming events in the future. We will also be helping you learn about how you can become involved in campaigns and who the different candidates are that you can support. As usual, pizza and drinks will be provided and you can RSVP by following the link below:

Secondly, we encourage you to attend the Athens Volunteer Training day being held on Tuesday, Jan. 14 from 4-7 PM in Tate 142. This event is being hosted by U.S. Senate candidate Michelle Nunn and will show you how to use different programs and skills that will be useful in volunteering with campaigns. If you are interested in attending, please sign up using the following link:
The Facebook page for the event can also be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/228938060620131/

And lastly, we want to remind you that the Moral Monday Medicaid expansion rally is happening on Monday, Jan. 13 from 4-6 PM outside the capitol building in Atlanta. The rally is designed to pressure Governor Deal and our legislators to expand and strengthen the reach of Medicaid in Georgia. More information about the event can be found in the link below:

That's all for this week! See you Wednesday!
