Subject: From Vogel for Congress
Just like every candidate, I need money. Why should you choose to contribute to my campaign instead of some other campaign?First, because the goals of my campaign mean that you will do more to help every Democratic candidate by contributing to my campaign.I am focused on developing local party organization throughout the 9th Congressional District. Statewide Democratic candidates get 47% of the vote. They do it by getting 75% in Atlanta, where there is not much room for improvement. Then they get 20% in rural Georgia, where there is a lot of room for improvement. I'm the hardest working Democrat you know, and I'm working where there is a lot of room for improvement - helping every Democratic candidate from Governor to County Commissioner.I am also focused on the kind of voter education that will have an effect beyond 2014. We won't need to start over, again, in 2016, and again, in 2018.Second, without your support the voters in the 9th District will not have a choice. Their only option in the voting booth will be the 16th most conservative of the 435 members of the U.S. House of Representatives. How conservative is that? It's more conservative than Paul Broun. I have to ask whether even conservative Republicans really want a representative who will shut the government down if he doesn't get his way.The next expense in this campaign is a $5200 qualifying fee required to get on the ballot. I think qualifying fees have the same moral standing as poll taxes, but that doesn't make them go away. Please contribute right now, while you're thinking about it.You can mail a check to: Vogel for Congress, 58 Bradley Dr., Hull, GA 30646. If your total contribution to either the Primary or General election is greater than $100, we must ask for your occupation and the name of your employer, and we must report your contribution to the Federal Election Commission. You may also contribute online by clicking here:Thank you for reading this far,David
