Brazile: Georgia might become first 'purple' state
Georgia could be the first southern state to move out of firm Republican
control to become a so-called "purple" state, where neither the GOP nor
Democrats dominate voter rolls, according to political analyst and
strategist Donna Brazile.
"I think if any state in the South can
turn from red to blue, it's Georgia," said Brazile, who became the first
African American to direct a major presidential campaign when she
became Al Gore's campaign manager in 2000.
