Dear Dan,
In my 25 years of service, I have seen the incredible things Georgians can achieve when they roll up their sleeves and tackle community challenges together. Building houses and playgrounds and setting up free cafes to deliver meals after natural disasters – these are all things I've seen volunteers achieve in the course of a few days. That's a focus on results and a commitment to service that Washington could learn from – and there's a way you can help me share that message. On Saturday, May 17, our campaign is holding a Day of Service all across Georgia. It's going to be a truly incredible day – and I would love for you and your family to be a part of it. Will you join us? RSVP here. Of all the different projects our campaign will be participating in, I hope you'll join me at Perkerson Elementary School where we'll be using our hammers and paintbrushes to do everything from building new basketball courts to constructing park benches. Together, we can show that when we work together we can achieve great things- like creating the play-space and learning environment for our kids to thrive. For years, I helped lead Hands On Atlanta Day and I can tell you this - the sense of accomplishment and community people feel at the end of a volunteer service project can be amazing. I'm looking forward to working side-by-side with you on May 17th and showing Washington what it can learn from Georgia. Thank you for all that you do to support our campaign, Michelle Nunn
