Donnan trial verdict rests in Jury's deliberations now
A group of a dozen Athens, Georgia area Jurors have the guilt or innocence of former UGA football coach Jim Donnan in their hands this afternoon as part of the Federal racketeering scandal alleging a Ponzi scheme with used sporting goods out of West Viriginia.
The trial is taking place in the courtroom of Judge Ashley Royal in United States District Court in Athens next to the Post Office. Donnan has 41 counts that the Jury must now vote on each before rendering their verdicts. Essentially the trial hinges on whether Donnan knowingly swindled investors in the GLC Holdings sporting goods from West Virginia.
Ed Tolley heads the Donnan legal team.
