Good afternoon Oconee County:
Just a quick reminder that this Saturday is the day to participate in the Great American Cleanup in Oconee County - starting at 9 am at the Oconee County Library in Watkinsville.
We are so fortunate to live in such a wonderful place with rolling green hills, a pastoral setting, and small town charm. However, as you travel the roads of Oconee County, you have likely noticed that we have a growing problem plaguing our beautiful community: Litter.
Sincerely,I would like to issue a person invitation on behalf of KOCBC. May 10th is our annual Great American Clean Up in Oconee County and they need your help.
You can make a big difference. Please consider participating in one of the following ways:
· Get a volunteer team together for this Saturday's clean up event. It's a few hours of community service on a beautiful Saturday morning outdoors and with great results. KOCBC really needs your help because a big turnout will show how important the issue of litter really is.
· Donate a cash prize or gift certificate so that KOCBC can offer prizes to its wonderful volunteers.
· Become a supporter of KOCBC's Youth Advisory Council, the Clean Community Coalition and their plan for LITTER FREE OCONEE.
· Participate in KOCBC and other programs such as Adopt-A-Spot, Adopt-A-Mile, Rivers Alive, etc. and/or recycle within your homes and businesses.
KOCBC's five year goal, one that will be greatly publicized, is to create a LITTER FREE OCONEE – a plan that we hope will be a model for counties all over the state and across the nation. Just imagine.....no more litter. Thank You For Making An Effort To Make A Difference In Your Community.
