Oconee County needs bike paths, not bike lanes, along Simonton Bridge/Whitehall

Has anyone ever ridden a bicycle up or down Simonton Bridge Road/Whitehall Road without feeling their life was endangered? No they have not. I will be posting periodic photos of actual bike paths, separated from the actual street and much safer, from the corn fields of far northern Iowa the next week.

I wish there were safe and wide bike paths off of Simonton Bridge as a means to buffer and prevent the invariable expansion surely coming soon. A codicil could be written into the deed transferring the property to keep it as a bike path in perpetuity.

I would also like to see a bike path from the corner of the front of the Botanical Garden to the actual Simonton Bridge in the area of Clarke County called Whitehall.  There is going to be a massive construction project changing that traffic "triangle" to a traffic circle sometime in the next 18 months, greatly contributing to my tardiness at work.
