What's the Deal with Getting rich while Governor?

For three years, Nathan Deal did nothing to collect back taxes from a salvage company that owes Georgia $74 million in back taxes.
That's because the company made Gov. Deal a multi-millionaire while in public office.
In 2013, Gov. Deal sold his financially struggling junkyard to Copart for $3.2 million. He still collects $10,000 in rent every month from the state's largest tax debtor.
When caught in this shady transaction last summer, Deal told WSB-TV that there was nothing he could do. It was out of his hands.
In this morning's newspaper, that story has changed. Now that Deal's inaction has become a political liability, he finally says he wants a judge to resolve the tax matter.

For the past 15 months, Gov. Deal has pocketed $10,000 every month from one of the state's largest tax debtors. For three years, Gov. Deal refused to do anything to collect that debt.
With just 63 days to go until the election Gov. Deal has suddenly decided the issue is worth his time. He wants you to think it's because he's had a change of heart, but we know the real reason: it's because his payday is in jeopardy.
Gov. Deal has been getting rich off a company that has owed you money for the last three years. He's been hoping that you haven't been paying attention.
Unfortunately for him, we're all paying attention now.
Sincerely,
Bryan Long
