Free trees are always a good thing, and given the vast amounts of moisture in our red Georgia clay right now, they should grow rather easily and well if planted after the last snow

Celebrate Arbor Day 2015
The City of Watkinsville is giving away free trees to its residents in celebration of Arbor Day

When:                  February 27  and March 2 – March 6th
Where:                 City Hall – VFW Drive
What:                    Red Maple, Wax Myrtle, Green Ash, Dogwood

Arbor Day in Georgia is the third Friday in February (February 20, 2015)
National Arbor Day is the third Friday in April (April 17, 2015)
