American Crime is an upcoming American anthology crime drama television series that will debut on ABC starting March 5, 2015. The series was created by John Ridley, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of "12 Years a Slave," and stars Felicity Huffman and Timothy Hutton. The series will center on race, class, and gender politics as it follows a racially charged murder and the subsequent trial. The lives of the participants in a trial with significant racial motives are forever changed during the legal process.
